Think Positive launch event!

Student mental health is set to be a top priority this year across Scotland’s colleges, universities and students’ associations. It’s an exciting time to be involved in the changing landscape of mental health support for student across Scotland’s colleges, universities and students’ associations.

Think Positive, our government funded project here at NUS Scotland is growing and developing rapidly! We’re really excited to share the work we’re going to be doing and how you can get involved. On Monday 3rd September we’ll be holding a launch event at Norton Park Conference, Edinburgh, where we’ll be discussing the projects in more depth and exploring ways you can develop your work in this existing area.

There will be workshops giving you the tools, knowledge and support to combat the stigma surrounding mental health, develop the links between mental health, smoking cessation, physical activity and sport and to make practical changes on campus. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from people who have previously taken part in the projects and the chance to sign up to one or more of the projects.
Overall the Launch Event is a great chance for you to meet other participating institutions, share ideas and make connections.

Register for our free event now to secure your place!

*Recommendation of attendees: a sabbatical officer, member of staff and staff member whose remit contains sport. This event is open to students’ association officers and staff, and college and university staff in Scotland.*
