Bloggers needed

We are looking for new content for our blog. If you are a student, apprentice or a member of staff then we would like to hear your experience of mental health, wellbeing and education.

We want to talk about how we can reduce discrimination and stigma around mental illness while making sure that there is access to support while studying.

We know that the experience of every student is different but your story might feel familiar to someone reading and allow them to better understand their situation, feel more able to access support or tackle stigma and discrimination.

If you have studied in Scotland or are a Scottish student who completed their studies abroad we would love to hear from you.

We would like to spend some time looking at mental health, wellbeing, self-management, recovery, student support and staff training. If you have something to say about any of these and think you could write a blog post for us then get in touch. Don’t have time for a blog but still want to share your story? Send us over a short paragraph and we’ll be able to include it in a longer item to share online.

Sharing lived experience of mental illness can be of great benefit to others who might have a similar experience. What keeps you well and how do you manage your illness and recovery? Your tried and tested method might be just the thing that someone else has been searching for.

We are also really interested in hearing about your experience of student support- are there things that you have found really useful or maybe things that haven’t been so helpful? What kind of student support would you like to see? Feedback from both staff and students would be great!

If you are interested in sharing your story please email:  thinkpositive@nus-scotland.org.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
