Student Mental Health Day: Perth College UHI

What is going on at Perth College UHI for Student Mental Health Day?

Perth College

This year Perth College UHI have a whole week dedicated to student health with the theme ‘Feeling Great’. The week will run from 29 February to 04 March and will see a whole range of activities on campus from the annual photography competition, home baking, Spanish taster lessons, a treasure hunt or sports classes.

You can view the full programme of events here and there is sure to be something that takes your fancy.

As well as self care activities like getting your nails done, massage and healthy food there will be stalls with information about things you can do to improve your mental health and wellbeing- from learning a new skill to volunteering. Another big part of the week will be the availability of books on prescription where self-help books will be signposted to in the library. Self-help books or bibliotherapy can make a real difference- read more about bibliotherapy in our blog soon.

The activities during the week link into the ideas of self management which can include taking part in activities, learning new things, sharing your skills, physical activity, healthy eating and other self care activities.

Starting on Monday 29th February we have our Perth College UHI Feeling Great Week. There’s lots to do – more news to…
